After posting my thoughts about choosing a font for your logo (here), I was reminded by one of my designers (who creates logos and websites for LogoWorks by day and incredible watercolors by night) of one more thing to keep in mind:
5. Don't just choose a font, choose a font family. Although the font you use in your logo should rarely change (you won't print it in italic one day and bold the next), you should consider a font that has some versatility, including sets of roman, italic (sometimes called oblique), and bold characters. Many fonts come with additional character sets like: semi-bold, bold italic, black, book, condensed, and so on. Having these options will come in handy as you create signs, brochures, websites, and other marketing materials that support your business and brand.
As with other elements in your logo, a professional designer can help you navigate the unfamiliar territory and help you make smart decisions about your logotype.

It's nice post.....!
